Fa'a Samoa

It has been a crazy first month here in American Samoa! I have been through whirlwind of emotions since first stepping on the island. What a thrilling experience thus far.  Life is extremely different here but I think that I am starting t get accustomed to the lifestyle.  Still, this is a transition period for me since I am currently on the main island of Tutuila.  Here, they still hold many customs of traditional Samoa that are intertwined with many western values.  I didn't expect to find a McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut as well as modern technology and western attitudes and styles.  It was fairly easy to get accustomed to life here because they are may familiar aspects but pretty soon I am going to my little remote island, Ta'u, and I'm not quite sure what to expect.
