Great photos from Palolo! They are these little worm/sperm things that come up in the ocean 7 days after the full moon in October. Everyone stays up all night and waits for them and them collects them, fries them, and eats them with eggs.
And the answer is yes I did eat one....raw....while it was still alive. Yum.
